Creatures—the return of Maurice

Well, this is the second Maurice, and now we have found or been told about a lot of other Maurices. One day on the bus, just after the first Maurice had been printed and on a day when we were wondering about Maurice, if he would be OK out in the world, one of us saw a big dusty white van with 'We Love Maurice' written into the dust.

Some more Maurices that we stumbled across: a crazy old man in a small Scottish village who is very rich but spends his days sitting in the square feeding the birds (we found out about him from a magazine); and one of us remembered that her favourite beloved grandpa has the middle name of Maurice. And then a friend told us that her grandfather, who she really adored, was also called Maurice. But then recently one of us met a disgusting Maurice, with eyes that popped out and a very red face. He yanks his wife everywhere by the arm, hard. Oh well..
