There is some kind of sameness to these creatures. It's mostly those white eyes and the brown colour many of them have, but they aren't really that much like each other. You don't often see more than one together. But maybe once in a while when everyone's back is turned, in the soft darkness, they do spend time together.
Some never did make it over to the find the others, and so some just faded away into dust.
