Who is Maurice?

Vergena Chee, a 10-year old 4th grader at the New Mexico School for the Deaf, thinks Maurice is medium-aged and friendly. She wasn't sure if Maurice might be a girl or woman, but after checking a baby name book she decided Maurice had to be a man. He was too fat the first time she drew him. Vergena wanted her Maurice to be a bit British-looking because he lives in far-away England. He likes drinking milkshakes and eating hamburgers. He is married without children, only a dog and a cat. Maurice lives in a huge house with ten floors, a computer room and many books. He likes being outside too! What do you think?
